Katja Wolters (Germany) – literary translator. Born 1971 in Georgia. Lives in Germany. Translates Polish, German, Yiddish literature into Georgian and German. Among many others she translated works of Jorge Luis Borges, Olga Tokarczuk, I.B.Singer, Salomea Pearl, Tadeusz Borowski, Marek Hlasko, Peter Handke as well as Georgian authors: Zviad Ratiani, Nato Ingorokva, Dato Turashvili, Aleko Shugladze, Shorena Lebanidze, Luka Bakanidze, Teona Dolenjashvili, Ekatreine Togonidze. Her translation of "The Books of Jacob" by Olga Tokarczuk into Georgian, received the Saba Literary Award.
