Poet, translator, essayist
Gytis Norvilas published his first works in press in 1997. Written books: Akmen-skeltės (2002), Skėriųpusryčiai (2006), Išlydžiųzonos(2012). His first book Akmen-skeltės (Stone-splits) appeared in 2002, and was awarded with the Prize for Poetic Debut of the Druskininkai Poetic Fall. His book Išlydžiųzonos was nominated for the Best Book Award and won this prize in 2013. From 2010, he is the member of Lithuanian Writers Union. Gytis Norvilas is an editor in chief of the main Lithuanian literary magazine „Literatūrairmenas“ (Literature and Art). His poetry is translated into English, Bulgarian, Russian, Latvian, Geor- gian, Polish, German, Belorussian, Ukrainian and Croat- ian languages.
Gytis Norvilas himself translates poetry and prose from German, Russian.
