Memory as Resistance: 11th Tbilisi International Festival of Literature to Host 12 International Authors

On September 24–27, 12 authors from more than 10 countries will visit Tbilisi for the 11th Tbilisi International Festival of Literature. Meet the participating authors:

◾️ Dimitris Dimitriadis (Greece)

◾️ Adam Zamoyski (Poland / United Kingdom)

◾️ Daniel Wieser (Austria)

◾️ Ulrike Almut Sandig (Germany)

◾️ Olena Herasymiuk (Ukraine)

◾️ Mark Nowak (USA)

◾️ Eliza Kącka (Poland)

◾️ Luca Brunoni (Switzerland)

◾️ Márton Simon (Hungary)

◾️ Lusine Kharatyan (Armenia)

◾️ Przemysław Suchanecki (Poland)

◾️ Kripa (India)

Georgian and international writers, poets, and translators gathering at the festival will explore the relationship between memory, freedom, and literature. Despite the profound historical and political differences that divide us, literature has always carried this power: to give voice to those whose voices are being taken from them, and to hold individually and collectively alike a memory without which the past cannot be known, nor its mistakes left unrepeated.
